You go to the county court house in the same county in which you were born. They will be able to provide you with a certified copy. Will probably charge $10 or more for each copy you need. Good Luck!

The Department of Vital Records located at the Capital for that state i.e. Washington, Olympia - California, Sacramento - Nevada, Reno etc.. Dial your the area code for that city plus 555-1212 they will give you the number. It's going to cost anywhere from 11.00 to 20.00 per record (you only need 1, but hang onto it this time, I keep mine in my file cabinet or a fireproof safe is a good place.).

If you still live in the town you were born in, you can go to the county clerks office and request a copy.
If you're out of town or out of state, you need to contact the states office of statistics.
Do a search on line for your city, state and the word birth certificate. That should pull up the info for you.

To the Clerks Office in the town you were born or if youare in the UK contact the Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages for your area. Copies in the UK are expensive. Don't know about US or Canada. Good Luck.

You have to go to the courthouse of the county you were born in to get a copy of your birth certificate.
Most of them charge about $10.00 or so. You will need to have identification.

Call the state that you were born in. Most states have databases of that information.

Vital statistics won't give it to you for free. Usually they cost around $15.
