If you are in the UK be warned that the police are clamping down on heavily tinted windows (which is what you seem to be proposing). They use a light meter to check - if the windows fail, you're in for an expensive time!

This can be done by and individual, but.....it will not last. Especially on the windows that receive direct sun light. The material will get bubbles in it and look terrible. Have you seen the cars that people have put the film on by themselves. It is full of bubbles!! Get it professionally done and save the time. Remember, "You get what you pay for".

They make a spray paint that you can use. It's similar to the snow in a can you can spray on the windows. This would be permanent, but would be able to remove fairly easily with a razor blade. You could even make it decorative with stick on decals then spray over and remove the decals. This should work nicely but the dog would not be able to see out

Justy keep in mind that at night, you probably won't be able to see anything outside, and others will be able to see in.
