that is if they ever got married. I consider myself lucky since my parents have been married 50 years! It's pretty rare anymore.

Congratulations to your parents on their Golden Anniversary. Yes, my mother and father are still married and still very much in love after four children and thirty years.

They probably would still be married, but my father passes away 3 years ago! And you are right it is rare that you see couples staying together. When people decide to get married they think that if they run into problems they can always get a divorce. That is what is wrong with this world. If you have a problem in your marriage divorce should be the last thing on your mind, especially if your just getting married. Marriage is hard, and you need to work at it not give up at the first sign of trouble. Communication and Love is EVERYTHING! Like one of my favorite quotes from Hellboy: we like people for their qualities but we love them for their defects.

Mine have been married a little over 43 years. Too cool about your parents- 50 years is a great milestone.

Nope. The divorced when I was about 9 and am now 34.

My parents just had their 35th wedding anniversary, but they've been together for about 41 years (since the 7th grade).

HA thats a funny one. my mom was never married to my dad. she was married to my dads brother. witch is my brothers father. and no thay have been devorced about 21 years. and my mom has been devorced from my step dad for like 5-6 years
