Your really better off going to a bridal shop, seeing and trying things on. You need to get an idea of what looks good ON YOU. Alot of people have very different ideas about what dress they want untill they put one on.
More often than not, people end up falling in love with a dress they wouldn't even give a second glance to.
Also, the designers often have a large difference in size- even by measurements! One would think that the numbers don't lie- but they do!
A wedding dress is very personal and special.
If you are very confident about the dress you want, and have been to some bridal shops- you can use that information to purchase a dress online. However, they are generally FINAL SALE.
Just keep in mind that almost everyone has to have alterations on their dress, no matter where it came from. And be sure to allow yourself extra time for backorders, shipping, and alterations.

Well keep this in mind, even one that is your size will most likely need some tailoring. Work into your budget the fact that a tailor will charge around $80 to alter the dress to fit you just right. Perhaps you should go to a local store and try on some dresses to be sure you are shopping on line for the best size for you.

I think if you do your research and take accurate measurements, it's ok. I hated going from store to store trying to find my DREAM wedding gown so I started pouring through websites to see if I could find what I was looking for. I actually found one on EBAY! I was a little nervous at first, but they had lots of positive feed back. It was from Hong Kong, I crossed my fingers and ordered. It shipped in a week! It was beautiful and everything I wanted and the Kicker is... I only paid $250 and no one had a clue! hehehe.. so we got to spend the extra money on our honeymoon! Good LUCK!

Very safe ONLY if you book/buy/apply much earlier than the wedding date so that there would be no disappointment. Make sure it is your size an also be careful of all those frauds online. Apart from these, its cool.

I wouldn't think it would be safe cause you really wouldn't know what it looks in front of your eyes. If you find a wedding dress that you like try to find if they have a store that you can go see the dress.

Your wedding dress is a very personal thing. Don't you want to try some on, feel the fabrics, etc. before you buy?

I wouldn't reccomend it. Go somewhere where you can try on the dresses before purchasing. i understand that if you purchase online from a wholesale factory you can really save money but you may feel safer seeing the dress in person.

I would say it depends on the site and return policies and such. I'd probably do research online and then find a local branch of the store to look.
