In recent history, I would have to say Jimmy Carter.
Of all time, it would probably be US Grant.

FDR... He knew dam well the Japanese were going to attack us.
He socializes the country, promising to take care of us
He was the granddaddy of bloated government.
LBJ He enslaved the blacks again by putting them in the housing projects
He escalated the Vietnam war to an obscene level.
He introduced new social programs promising everything to everybody.
Jimmy Carter: He was one weak wuss.
He appointed a bunch of fools to the courts. We are still paying the price for those.
He was in over his head.
His foreign policy was weak or nonexistent especially in the Middle East.
He was instrumental in ruining the economy, with interest rates around 21%
He was the Father of the great Malaise that gripped this country till Reagan came along.
Both Bushes They are not compassionate conservatives. They are Pseudo (Phony) conservatives.
They ran up huge deficits.
Bush Sr. should have invaded Iraq in 1991. He's awful weak
The worst Pres.?? THere are so many to choose from. It's a tough decision. Probably a tie between the 5 mentioned above.

As a whole, I would have say Herbert Hoover. When the farms started failing in the late 20's, he did nothing. When the stock market crash happened in 29', he did nothing. When the depression hit, he did nothing. In fact, he said that the churches should be the ones to help the poor, not the government. He should have known; a church of any size is not going to give up any money. The 20's were a time of great prosperity, but there was ten times as much poverty as prosperity. OK, Bill Clinton had sex---with---gasp!---ugly women! But we did have a surplus in the treasury by the time he was out of office. Nixon was a good President, he just got caught doing things that were illegal, but at least he did not have sex (sex-Nixon-sex-Nixon), nope. Couldn't have happened. President Carter inherited a military that had problems with drugs, alcoholism, a high AWOL rate, sub-standard recruits. By the time his term was up, those problems were down to a minimum. Reagan remembered nothing, so he had his alibi.

Jimmy Carter and George Bush. I don't care if one is a democrat and one is a Republican, they were both terrible presidents molded by secret societies. Carter was a member of trilateral commsion founded by Brezenski who was his national security advisior and is a neocon. Bush is a member of Skull and Bones. In reality there is not much difference. I like to use the phrase perception vs. reality. They may appear to be very different, but in reality they are both striving for a one world gov't.

We only have one president at a time, whoever currently is the President is always the best or worst president.
Seriously, I don't think you can judge how good or bad a president really is until after they are out of office. Who the best or worse often depends on the criteria you use and sometimes the really bad mistakes are made public years later.

Bill Clinton. He was weak (read about Somalia and Afghanistan) and reduced the military budgets while at the same time raping the environmental trust fund to support social security. That and his blatant immorality rank him high on my list of the worst presidents. Also, let us not forget the Vince Foster scandal, Whitewater, the travel agency fiasco, etc., etc. to say nothing of being just north of a pedophile. His administration set us up for 9/11by emasculating the intelligence community and ignoring all the warnings. In addition, his tryng to force peace process in the Mid-East in a blatant play for the Nobel Peace Prize drove that regon nto the chaos we see there today. In my opinion, he will go down in history as a complete failure.

I would say Nixon for his scandal and support for the Vietnam war when everyone wanted to leave, among other reasons.
But in my opinion, he is the worst PREVIOUS president.
We have the worst president EVER in office right now. He is such a war-mongering, middle class-hating, deficit-increasing, deceitful fool. His name is George Walker Bush and he has a proven iq of 91.

Nixon.
But on this note, I would just like to say that no one is ever going to do the job to the satisfaction of the whole country's population (or the world's for that matter) George W isn't perfect, that's for sure, but no one ever will be. And let's face it, it aint an easy job.

That is a terrible hard question to answer....I can't imagine any of the Presidents even wanting to be worst...It comes to the year, time, and climate of when they are elected....Perhaps one could say the Nixon may be the "worst", because he truly may not have been one to be elected...it wasn't that he was not smart, it was just that he was a little angry and maybe not stable enough to do the job....so, to answer your question....Nixon......
