The effect of sound on plants
Imagine you have two identical plants in two identical rooms and you notice the plant that is in the living room is growing much faster than the plant in the other room. You are wondering about the reason and you try to identify all possible variables or conditions that may affect the plant growth. You see that both plants get the same amount of light, water and nutrients. They are also in the same room temperature. So you think that maybe the sound of radio and television and people's conversation has something to do with the difference in plant growth.
You decide to perform an experiment to find out if sound affects plant growth.

I have been trying to get my daughter to build a wind tunnel for a model car/airplane for a science project for a long time. Maybe you could try that - maybe figure out the effects of resistance on different models. It might be a little pricy, but it should be a very cool project!!

OK , I'm in junior high and I think that you should a project like this: do one project with chemical fertiliser. Label that A. Then, have another one that's without fertiliser. do the same thing for each. give it the same amount of water, sunlight and record your results!! Enjoy!
