i'm looking for the best way to improve my listening in classes and concentrating to get out the best of my abilities .

A good night's sleep, and exercise do wonders.
If that doesn't help, Ritalin is very good. It converted my girlfriend from a C student to an A student overnight, but you need a prescription!!

Well, admittedly paying attention in lectures can be really hard. But, for me at least, I've found that if I sit towards the back or side, my attention will drift, and I'll start doodling and such. But when I sit front and center, I tend to pay better attention if only because I'd be embarassed if the professor looked at me (which he would, because I'm right in front of him) and saw that I was clearly doodling and not paying attention.
