Often this is caused by increased activity or pregnancy and needing more electrolytes and potassion. Drink Gatorade and eat a banana. Also when this happens, and it doesn't go away, stand up with feet flat on the floor and it will relieve the pain. As for aching, yes, it aches the next day. I would often get these when I was pregnant. It was awful.

Maybe you should drink more water. It sounds like you have poor circulation and water helps that. Or - there is something called "restless leg syndrome" which is a true health problem. But that is usually when you can't relax your legs when you go to bed at night. Maybe you have a hard time relaxing. Yoga is very beneficial for that type of thing. Take a class, it's fun.

You are tired I guess. I had those cramps to and the pain is unbearable. I usually get them when i have exams and I'm tired and stressed out. I have to tell you, that pain is the worst I have ever felt. I use some gels in the morning otherwise it will hurt when I walk.

You need more potassium. Eat bananas or get a vitamin supplement. Before when I wasn't taking vitamins regularly I'd get those cramps but they'd clear up after a week of eating bananas every day.

I get them a lot when I am about to start me period. I would probably suggest that you try stretching when you get up and go to bed. I know that when I was pregnant (about 8 months) the doctor said that I needed to drink more water and stretch. I would try those.

hmm..as far as i know its pretty common among teenagers..part of the growing pains if u get wat i mean..especially when u r goin thru a growth spurt..i get it too n its pretty awful i noe..d best way 2 avoid it is to make sure u dun do any sudden movements after waking up..d worst way 2 'kickstart' a calf cramp is to stretch hard after getting up..(by experience) but dun worry, u'll grow out of it..at least mine r lessening by now.

A muscle cramp can mean that you don't have enough water in your body. Drink water and it should go away.
