We had a pen leak ink on our coffee table. Goo gone and those products generally strip the finish. Any one have ideas on what to use? We tried Murphy's Oil soap, dish soap and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

This might work...
Try hair spray in a can.. I'm not sure why it works, but if you get ink on your hands and use the spray, it will come off. You might want to try it in a hidden area first. After the ink is gone, just clean the table like you normally would!
Good luck

I work in a clinic and have found rubbing alcohol to be VERY effective at removing ink stains without causing too much damage. Better than that stupid magic eraser!

Have you tried L.O.C. (liquid organic cleaner) by Amway? If you have an Amway distributor near you buy a bottle. It's suppose to remove ink. Check the website below for listings:

hair spray just spray and wipe don't let it sit long, it might take out the shine if you do. try testing it on the bottom side of the table before you use it on the top. Nail polish remover will do the same thing.
