Fungi spores blow in from everywhere. Moist, damp soil is ideal for them to grow. Remove them before they get mature enough to make their own spores.
If they start forming an expanding ring that's different. You'll need to water on a special fungicide before the underground system kills off your grass.

You have damp conditions, and perhaps some old tree routes (or a ground down stump). You'll find the fungi will follow the route of undeground routes, maybe radiating from a central point.
You could use a fungicide (as suggested), and it is a good idea to remove the baby mushrooms before they spread their own spores.

There must be a colony of fungi successfully reproducing in your area. The spores they release are tiny and can travel in the wind. When they settle, and if the conditions are right, they start to grow (as they have done on your lawn).
