ok first and foremost to the previous idiots, the questioneer didn't ask THIS YEAR. Gezz. Now i will give Mich. the fact that yeah, they've got the most wins, that's really is a big thing; however, Notre Dame has one of the richest tradtions, some of the best coaches to ever coach. Some of the best stories, rivalries, ideas (I.E. contract w/ NBC, lots of $$ for the school-they got 14 million for a bowl game, other teams only get about 4, you know that's a good idea!!), now if you take out the past decade or so, we've had some of the best players. TO YOU WHO SAID ABOUT NATIONAL CHAMPS I HOPE TO GOD YOU READ THIS: 11, more than OSU there hun. Heisman winners: 7, and trust me, i can pull out a hell of a lot more. Look , yeah you can look at the past decade and easily said they are no good, but look at thecoaches, the downfall of Holtz, Davie, Willingham. If anything they are only second to Mich. just cause of the wins thing.

who told you that lie? Notre Dame couldn't beat Penn State and they almost lost to Georgia Tech and Michigan State. and you say that Notre Dame is the greatest football team ever?

BECAUSE, FOR YEARS, THEY HAD A VERY UNFAIR RECRUITING ADVANTAGE IN THEIR NBC FOOTBALL CONTRACT. NOW THAT THE OTHER NETWORKS HAVE SIGNED DEALS WITH THE MAJOR CONFERENCES, THE PLAYING FIELD IS A LITTLE MORE LEVEL.
