I'm a U.S. citizen. I haven't gotten any certifications just yet, but I'm going to school for them right now. I just got an offer from a family friend, once I finish my schooling here, to work in the Philippines. She doesn't know what I want to do, but she has lots of connections and said she can get me almost any job in Manilla, the capital city. The reason I'm considering the Philippines is just because I've been there in the past and love the country and the people.

I will echo others-- the certifications are good in other places as many of those other countries use MS products as well. But certifications are not enough-- ideally you should have some experience as well (ok, I know that's not the question).

MCSE and other MS certifications are a good thing to have depending on what you're planning to do.

Yes. They are valid in most countries, exept some countries like IRAN, but in the other countries by those certifications you can find a great job.

I think it is a good idea which you start with MCSE, because it explains the structure of networks.

Yes they are valid in other countries. MCSE is the most helpful. But, A+, network + and Server+ are all quick to get, so you might as well get them also.

The certifications are given by companies, not the government. They are as valid anyplace as they are here.

Now rather that gets you a job or not depends on how they look at them there. You might want to check out the ads and see if they are trying to hire people with them or not.

Most industry certifications are valid in other countries too. Especially microsoft, oracle, cisco - it depends on whether or not the certification exam you are taking is on the technology that has a global presence or not.
