The Gore Church http://www.goreumc.org/ has nothing to do with Depeche Mode http://www.depechemode.com/ .

Depeche Mode does have a member called Martin L. Gore. Many die-hard fans of Depeche Mode (or devotees) do believe that the band and their song lyrics have some religious undertones. And I'll agree to that. But Martin Gore said in South Africa in an interview that most of the songs are about relationships.

When Martin Gore did some work on his own, named Counterfeit e.p, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterfeit%C2%B2 he got a lot of support from Depeche Mode fans. Some of which started believing that he might be some kind of god. You can read some here http://www.electrofreaks.com/viewtopic.php?t=2027 and basically the same views are shared by others on similar forums. Maybe these guys started a church on their own?

I've been a devotee for 15 years, but not that die-hard...
