NY doesn't have tolls on ALL it's Interstate Highways.

NJ, PA, DE, MD. OH, IN, IL, WV,CT, RI, MA to name a few, have tolls on a portion of the Interstate Highways.

PS.. In NJ.. the Garden State Parkway is not an Interstate Highway, its a private state run 'Limited Access Toll Road' and not part of the Interstate Highway System.

Tolls pay for the maintenance of the road, with out the use of tax dollars.

Not all interstates have tolls in NY. The only ones that do are I-90 (Thruway), Interstate 87, Interstate 287, Interstate 84, and Interstate 190. Interstate 81, from Binghampton to the Canadian border has no toll along the whole route.

I live in Oklahoma and suffer the tolls, but they are nothing compared to Florida. I don't think you can travel anywhere around Orlando or Miami without having to stop several times and pay a toll! New York's was not that bad, just on some of the major roads. Oklahoma is the same way.

No. New Jersey = especially the Garden State parkway is worse than that! The GSP has tolls every couple of miles.
