That is hard. I hope things work out well for her and your family.
Is there a particular question you have ?

I am sorry, your mother has a metastasis. This is when a cancer cell breaks off from the main tumor and travels to another part of the body and sets up shop. Bone metastases are difficult to treat. Stage 4, means that your mother has a very advanced cancer, which is not good. I am sure that she will get good chemotherapy and there are many new treatments out there for lung cancer. You can help her by being supportive, and helping her while she is being treated, as chemo is very exhausting. The pain from the bone metastases may make it difficult for her to get around.
You can check out many cancer questions at the American Cancer Society's web site. Just be honest with your mom, about how you feel, she will appreciate it.
Good luck to you and your mom!

very sorry to see that, but not sure what your question is.
The 5 year survival rate of newly diagnosed lung cancer is 15%, so you're extremely lucky that you've had her for this long. Enjoy the time you have left with her.

I'm sorry to hear that. What is you question? Is it possible? Yes. Once you have had cancer--even if it goes into remission or they believe they removed it all, it is possible at some time that it will reappear in another area of the body. And be VERY aggressive.
