I think we already have that. Everybody does. It's just odd that people keep on saying that they are trying to protect the santicty of marriage when there are so many divorces and one day marriages.

Nope, formal divorce procedures have been around for ages. It is nothing of the sort, governments and married couples have great practice in divorcing--the issue is letting men marry men or women marry women, arranging a divorce after they marry is solidly established ground.
I have a few electronic cables that have both female ends. I have some electronic cables that have both male ends. Most electronic cables, power cords, etc. have male end and a female end. Guess which ones puzzle people the most when they reach for a cord? Yep, those that don't have opposite fittings. Same way with marriages.

Wait, you mean a way for *gays* to get divorced? It would have been a good idea if *straights* had come up with divorce procedures before marriage procedures. Too bad they thought that, "till death do us part" bit would always work! I mean, it would be nice if it were true...but it obviously isn't.
I'm straight, but I think gay marriage is just fine and dandy and I wish states would just make it legal and start dealing with problems that are actually, y'know, *problems.* Too bad politicians get people all hyped up about everybody's bidness and then ignore real problems, like poverty, foreign aid, social services, sex scandals...oh, I'm sure you can come up with a few.
If gays were married, it would make them more like straight married people, and then it would be harder to discriminate against them. Why else would some people oppose the idea so much? They don't want to lose their current enemy, that's why!

There have already been gay divorces. After a set amount of time, most everything is considered as joint assets, just like marital assets. So, unfortunately, your deduction about divorce procedures needing to be put into place is complete bunk! Besides that, you're supposed to put the horse in front of the cart, right?

no, that's not why. there's just still too many homophobes out there, and the Bush administration has drummed more of them out of the closet!
why shouldn't we get married? we probably wouldn't make such a mockery out of it like a lot of straight people have!
and, FYI...the "redcatt63" above is XXON10 on the loose again!
