I just got to thinking. . . Im about to go see a movie by myself. I got some free time and some spare cash and I feel like going to a movie. Am I as crazy as I sound?

I actually prefer it if I'm the only person in the theater. No inane chatter and popcorn munching symphonies. You are crazy like a fox ... 20th Century Fox in fact!

All the time, at least once a week. I usually like foreign and indie flicks, while my pals like blockbusters. I can't stand it when a friend is asking me through the whole film, "what's going on?".
It's peaceful and relaxing. I work weird hours so going to a matinee in the middle of the week when there are no kids or teens on the phone is a blessing.
Also late screenings on week nights are good, 10 pm, everyone has to go to work in the morning.
I am female and it does not bother me at all, it is a treat.

No, not only have I gone to the movies by myself, I have seen plays on Broadway alone. Before I started doing it, I felt strange, too, but it is not a big deal. Actually it can be relaxing because you don't have to worry if the person you are with is also enjoying the movie, and it is easier to find a seat for one person.

No way! Sometimes it is so much better to go by yourself. Get a giant soda, some kind of chewy candy, and DO NOT skip out on the popcorn. Then you just kick back and enjoy!!! A lot of things in life are more enjoyable on your own. It takes a strong person to be comfortable enough to create your own fun.

Not at all - I would rather go alone. My bf falls asleep during movies, (yeah, in the theater), or doesn't pay attention and expects me to explain the movie to him in the theater. I hate that, so I leave him home and go by myself. He's cool with it. But sometimes if I see a movie I love, I'll go see it again with my sister or my mom.

Nope not crazy! My boyfriend also said there is something wrong with me because I like to go to the movie on my own and just get out on my own! It's good to be able to do things on your own and be comfortable with yourself and not always need to be around friends just don't do it to much otherwise you'll start to feel lonely!! but enjoy yourself!

OMG! I go to the movies by myself all the time. Its difficult waitng to make sure a friend can go with you. Sometimes you just want to see the damn movie! Don't feel bad about it, go. I had to train myself into it and you can too

No actually I think that's great. I am lame and if I wanna go to a movie I have to find someone to go with me or else I don't go, but I think that's wrong. No you do what you wanna do and have fun at the movies.

I love to go to the movies by myself. It's relaxing and you can tune out the real world for a few hours. I usually go by myself to chick flicks or movies that my husband refuses to see (like "Brokeback Mountain").

You're not crazy. I love going to the movies by myself. You get all the popcorn. Noone there to drink the last of your coke. Noone there to talk through the good parts. I say do it.
