I just saw on MSN that another "celebrity" has decided to try their hands at writing childrens books. This time it's Terrell Owens. What are your thoughts on this?

It all depends upon what they have to share...like Henry Winkler found out as an adult that he is dyslexic. He wrote a series of books for kids that describe what it felt like growing up with dyslexia. I can foster tolerance and understanding from a respected and very successful person.

Terrell Owens, I dont know about. But I heard a lot of celebrities are doing it, and I think that it a great idea, because whats better than someone you look up to, writing a book for you to learn from. And improving the way kids think about learning. Its a great way to reach them.

I think if the storylines are truly thought out then go for it. Some of them are very good. Spike Lee's Please Baby Please is about a busy little girl who loves getting in trouble and Will Smith's book Just the two of us is about spending time with his son. Jamie Lee Curtis wrote about telling her adopted child about the day of her birth and Jada Pinkett Smith wrote a book to help little girl's build their self esteem.

But if the person is just writing the book for the hell of it, and has no idea how to reach a child they truly need to think of something else to do.

I think that they are all ghost written. No way did the celebrities that we are talking about write the books.

I think it's fine as long as it's a good book. I mean if they're doing it simply because they're a celebrity and the book sucks . . .

Really the same as any other children's book. If it's cute and something I think my children would like I would get it, if not I wouldn't.

Yeah Madonna has one out since she tried to slow her roll (now that she's a mommy). I guess she's trying to "Justify her Love" lol
