This say "Opportunity" all over. It is very obvious that you prefer the previous responsibilities and the pay scale and wish you never left. You boss all at a sudden feels that you are a lot more valuable to her department that she had thought. Nothing like a matured, heart to heart two way conversation. You should seize the opportunity to demonstrate your maturity and your willingness to resolve conflict.

If I were you, I would sit down quietly and thank her for the opportunity to discuss issues and solve problems in an open and productive manner. Tell her that if you can continue to have support from her this way you would love nothing better than to transfer back to the team and get ready to work. You obviously caught her attention. Who knows, after clearing the air, this may lead to bigger and better things and be a win/win for both.

If you like it and have come to an understanding with old boss then yes and you could even get better pay from it because it sounds as if the old boss has realized what an asset you were to the department

Only for better pay, a higher position of responsibility and a guarantee she will treat you fairly. Transferring back right away is often viewed as failure and can cost you long term

I would, if she admitted there was a conflict with you guys there should be no reason that if you go back there and another problem was to arise you guys wouldn't be able to confront one another and work it out.

Business is business, remember that!

Go back! If you have worked it out and that is where you want to be.......why not?? You have to go to work everyday so go somewhere that you like doing what you are doing!
