I once took a fake W-2 into an interview for a salaried sales job that paid $100K per year plus comission and bonuses. I told them that I had a similar arrangment at my previous company making $340,000 in the previous year. That big fat whopper of a lie not only got me the job but it also got me an advance on my salary, a signing bonus, and a corporate credit card. I actually gained some clientele for the company and closed the deal on a major contract before they caught on and discovered that I made up the whole story. One day I went to lunch and when I got back to the office, my swipe card that opens the front door was no longer working. Once I was able to get in, the security guard stopped me in the lobby and told me that he would be escorting me to the HR deparment. When I got there, they had one of those copier paper boxes on the floor with all of my personal items in it. At this point I figured that I wouldn't ask any questions and that I would just take my things and go peacefully.

I had an interview for a job as Food & Bevarege Manager at a hotel and they asked me of my worst experience in the hotel industry.
I dont know why, but I suddenly blurted out that I had spilled coffee on Brad Pitt's lap!!! God knows where that came from, I've never even seen him before in real life!
Well, it worked, and I was the youngest manager (20) to work there in the hotel's 15 years of business!
Lol, do feel a bit guilty though... he he

Someone that I know didn't have a lot of work experience and they wrote that they worked for a certain company just because the company went bankrupt and there was no way for the interviewer to verify if he actually worked there or not. That is a good trick, you know....
