Tell No One by Harlan Coben. My favorite recently.
Try some Mary Higgins Clark, JD Robb, James Patterson (especially Beach Road, the Alex Cross series and the Women's Murder Club series), Lisa Gardner, Dont Say a Word and Taken by Barbara Freethy, Rachel Lee, Mary Jane Clark, etc.
If you want more suggestions I can recommend a book group on yahoo for ya: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/whodunit

If you want a good laugh while trying to figure out whodunit, read the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. These are the only books that have literally made me laugh out loud while reading them. The titles follow the pattern of "One for the Money," "Two for the Dough," "Three to Get Deadly"... the latest is "Twelve Sharp."
Also try Anonymous Rex and Casual Rex by Eric Garcia. The premise sounds bizarre, but somehow with his brilliant writing it works.

some thing by skill of J.A.Jance or Stuart Woods. also, at the same time as no longer extremely homicide secret you would opt for to attempt the recent sequence by skill of Ted Bell. the first e book is entitled 'Hawke', they are distinctly magnificent books and he's an truly tremendous author. For thrillers with murders that prefer to be solved look into Jack duBrul his Mercer personality is an outstanding set of reads also. Then there is James Doss who's protagonist is a 7' tall interior of sight american it really is both humorous and yet state-of-the-artwork together.

James Doss' hero is a 7 foot tall Cherokee and are great reads, about 15 books so far. Stuart Woods, J.A.Jance, John Dunning's Cliff Janeway series(subtitled the Bookman) are all very good. Happy Reading!

Iris Johansen, Alex Kava (excellent but only has 2 books out...but both exception great new writer), apparently Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb is very good also. Jeffery Deaver, very good, David Metzer has some good ones out as does Stephen Frey.
Can't remember all the great books I've read...but these are a few anyway.

Check out Agatha Christie...an undisputed master of the genre.
Try "And Then There Were None" (also known as Ten Little Indians) The story focuses on ten strangers who are all brought, by misleading information, to an island off the coast of Devon, in southern England. One by one they die, and gradually realise that the killer is amongst them.
It's a classic of the murder mystery genre and just a great read.

The Shape Shifter or any of the Joe Leaphorn/Jim Chee Novels by Tony Hillerman
Check him our on Amazon. These are great murder mysteries in a modern day Native American setting. I read one in college and was hooked...
