I've actually considered driving down to Disney World and only staying for one night in December because I'm dying to go to the Mickey's very merry Christmas Party thing.
Its an 8 hour (maybe less) drive for me.
Anyone ever been to MVMCP? Is it as awesome and fun as it looks like?

Where do you get the tickets for Mickey's very Merry Christmas Party?
I haven't seen this as an add on option on www.disneyworld.com

I would drive a lot more than 8 hours to spend one day at Walt Disney World. I have never been for the MVMCP, however the rest of the parks and resorts are decorated so beautifully that everyone should have the opportunity to see it.

I say JUST DO IT!!!

Here is the Disney operator and they can direct you with any questions you may have.

I would say do it! I have never been for Christmas but on www.disneyworld.com there is a link for the tickets. They are a seperate ticket from the regular park admission. Click on where it says tickets & reservations and to the left it it should have a ticket pricing link - click that and under special events is listed MVMCP! Hope this helps! Have Fun!!!

My daughter went with her family three years ago and is still talking about how wonderful it was.
Call 1800WDISNEY and choose the ticket option and you can purchase them over the phone.
Better hurry because it's limited to the number of people they will let in each night for this.
We went to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party last year and it was absolutely awesome.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!!

I have never been but I am counting the days till this Christmas. My oldest daughter started working there 2 months ago. So this is her Christmas gift to me and her 16 year old sister. Call a travel agent and they may be able to tell you where to get the tickets, or who to call that would know. Good luck!

It seems a long way to go for just one day, But I think ti would be better for you to fly rather than drive. There are some fairly cheap rates right now, but if that is not an option then by all means if this is something you want to do. Go for it, life is to short. Have fun!

They do sell the tickets online. Here's the website. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks/specialEventsDetail?id=MickeysVeryMerryChristmasPartySpecialEventPage

It's a very magical and beautiful event. It's also very crowded. I am assuming you already know that. I wouldn't do it again, but if it's your first time, I would go see it. When do you plan on coming? There are cheap airplane tickets on sale now. The cheap tickets dates are usually from December 1st-20th.

8 hours drive sounds painful.

Sometimes it's fun to do something that sounds ridiculous.

I was there for Christmas in 2000. It was amazing. Absolutely amazing. :)
