Is Bare Escentuals a Good Makeup?

I just recently bought the Bare Minerals starter kit and i haven't tried it yet, i was just wondering if anyone else has tried it and liked it. any opinions would be great! thanks :)

I love it. I have oily skin, with broken capillaries, dark circles under my eyes and the occasional break out. It's nice because you control the coverage, it doesn't clog your pore and it has SPF15.
Don't be surprised if it takes you a few days to get used to putting it on. It took me about a week before I really had the hang of it. Experiment with it. If your skin is oily, try the mineral veil before your foundation, use the different brushes to see what kind of coverage you get with each.
Remember less is more. Just because it doesn't look like a lot in the lid and you need more, put that little bit on and see how it looks then add more in the areas that you need it. Since you got the starter kit watch the DVD, they show a couple of different girls and the ways that they put it on as well as issues they have with their skin.
You may also want to check out delphi forums, there's a forum for bare escentual addicts. There's a lot of tips tricks and useful info on there, and if you have a specific question post it and they'll answer with their own experiences.

I've got hooked 5+ years ago and will never wear liquid again. It's awesome. The minerals are so concentrated that you only need a tiny amount, which means they last forever. I have never finished an entire pot of anything except foundation & mineral veil, and I wear it all. So, yes the price may be more, but it lasts 10 times longer and will NOT go bad, smell, or spoil. A pot of foundation lasts me about a year and I wear every day. I even started buying sample pots off of ebay when I want to try new eyeshadow or liners because it's cheaper, and I know I'd never use the whole pot anyway.
The minerals are also good for your skin.

i have not in any respect used bare Minerals, yet i have used Sheer cover...yet another mineral makeup. I loved it. I loved the coverage, I loved the way it did not seem as if i develop into wearing fairly some makeup, yet I had to quit wearing it, because it made me destroy out! possibly that's the minerals, i don't understand.

I have used bare minerals for 3 years now. Absolutely love it, its light, natural and makes skin look flawless. Do exactly what the instructions say and after using it for a while, my skin looks better then before and it washes off better than any liquid foundation does.

Bare Minerals seems to work for many people, but for some reason it really dried out my skin. I'm back to Lancome again : ) Hope this helps.

I love it, although I buy a cheaper brand of mineral makeup now. If you don't like it at first, or it looks funny, keep trying. If it looks chalky, the foundation color is too light. If used correctly, it looks fabulous! and it just takes a little practice to use it correctly.

Love it! It really makes your skin just look perfect and like you have no makeup on. It's like getting airbrushed. You really should try it. I think you will be surprised how little it takes to make your skin look nice.
