This is an "old wives' tale" that has no scientific proof behind it.

I grew up on a small farm and my father had pigs in the back of the barn and a milking cow in the middle. They were close by and the milk was not sour.

Pigs can carry a disease known as brucellosis (Bangs Disease or Undulant Fever). The disease is not easily transmittable from pigs to humans, but if you put pigs and cows in the same pen, the pigs will suckle on the cows, transmitting the disease to them. Cows then transmit the disease to humans through their milk. Dairy farmers used to be required to test their cattle for this disease annually.

NOPE, have a cow and pig in the same loose box/pen and they are best friends, no sour milk here!

That person was probably joking, the cow's milk will CERTAINLY not go sour!

however logicly milk will always eventually go sour.

That's something I just really doubt. But I'm not the "I'm ALWAYS right" type, so I can't be sure.
