It feels like I have something stuck in the back of my throat but it doesn't hurt. And I woke up this morning with a bruise on my left arm and I'm not sure why? Am I just paranoid here or what?

The only sure early sign of an STD is unprotected sex.
I don't know why the symptoms you described would make you think you've got an STD, but if you've been at risk, then you can be tested for diseases at your local GUM clinic.

No. Something stuck in your throat and bruising is NOT an STD. Sexually transmitted diseases are in the genital area. Hence, the name sexually transmitted diseases.
Signs would be fever, rash, burning when urinating, heavy discharge from the penis or vagina.

you can get an std not only through unprotected sex but through oral sex as well. but it doesn't sound like an STD. sounds more like strep throat or something. go see a doctor and get it checked out. hope this helps! :D

if u did something with someone u don't know that well or someone who just seems nasty, u should probably get checked out. if ur always with the same person and ur really safe, don't worry about it

some stds look like little red bumps, and there are many of them or they can be rashes and stuff. did you have oral sex?
