I NEVER had morning sickness (seriously, not a day) and I had a little girl. However, the theory is as follows:
"The Swedish scientists examined all births in Sweden between 1987 and 1995. More than one million children were born during that time, 51 percent of them girls, 49 percent boys.
But when the scientists looked only at the 5,900 women who were admitted to hospitals in the first three months of their pregnancy with vomiting and extreme nausea, the ratio changed.
Fifty-six percent of those struck with nasty morning sickness in their first trimester gave birth to girls and 44 percent bore boys.
The scientists couldn't tell why the women were sick, but they suspected it was because their bodies produced increased amounts of a pregnancy-related hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin.
In normal pregnancies, a female fetus is associated with higher concentrations of the hormone in the mother when she gives birth, though levels in early pregnancy are unknown, the study said. "
As I read it, the absence of morning sickness doesn't mean anything regarding the baby's gender. However, SEVERE morning sickness tends to indicate a female baby.
About one-third of pregnant women don't experience morning sickness anyway. I had no signs of pregnancy except for an absence of my period and, around 5 1/2 months, my pants started getting a bit tighter.
I do, know, however, that an absence of morning sickness does make you more likely to miscarry. I miscarried one of twins with my pregnancy.

IT DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL. ITS WHATEVER YOUR BODY IS GOING THROUGH AT THE TIME. I HAVE THREE BOYS ALONG WITH FOUR GIRLS. WITH MY OLDEST SON, I WAS SICK AS A DOG. SO THAT GOT TO BE AN OLD WIVES TALE. WITH MY LAST SON I HAD MORNING SICKNESS ALMOST MY WHOLE PREGNANCY.

I don't know if that's true or not. My first child was a boy and no morning sickness, now I am 15 weeks and for the first 12 i was sick all day everyday. No word yet on what gender this baby is.
There are so many myths to determining what your baby will be that you could go crazy!

Honey, that's a myth! Don't listen to that stuff. I had morning sickness up until my 18th week and I'm having a boy. There are so many old wives tales out there, don't listen to any of them. My family thought I was going to have a girl because they said that if you're pregnant with a boy, you tend to be a little more lazy and not care about your appearance. Well, I went out and bought some new, cute clothes, I've gone to a spa and I wear make up everyday, which I was too lazy to do before. Those things made them think I was having a girl. Only 2 of my friends/family thought I was having a boy and I told them that they should have put money on it because they would have won a ton! LOL
Anyway, good luck and congrats!

That is just a myth... every body is different. My friend had a girl and she was never sick, then she got pregnant with her little boy, and she was sick the whole time. They also said with a girl you have acne and a boy you don't, well that was complete opposite for her too. I am breaking out really bad, but i have not gotten sick once, so what does that mean? It's all myths... u wont know until the ultrasound.

My mom had no morning sickness with me or my brother. So I think that is not something to go by. However; i have heard heart rate can be a determinant. 160 + more likely to be a girl. Low more likely a boy
