Why not? It's your life, so it's your goals. As time goes on and you become more aware of the world around you, you may find that the goals you'd previously set will not bring you the happiness you once thought they would, or that they are not achieveable in the context you've set (e.g. if your life goal is to bring about world peace, you may find that you've bitten off more than you can chew). There's nothing wrong with this, it just means you've grown as a person and come to see the world in a new light. To blindly stick to past goals would be to rob yourself of the ability to find real happiness.

Go ahead, change your mind. Just make sure you put real thought into your decision. Don't give up just because something's hard, but don't keep pounding your head against a wall to achieve the impossible.

Hope this helps... sounds like you've got some soul-searching ahead of you.

i would not say cancel a goal but rather replace it with something better. i did that in many situations but i did not cancel goals-ok, i was about to until my friends and bf talked some common sense into me-and i strived for something better. if you want something better in your life so be it! replace your old goal by making the new one more productive!

Sure. My sister went back to school when her youngest was in college. She became a teacher and absolutely loves it.

I started in the medical field when my three children started grade school. They are all out of school now and I'm still in the medical field. Anything is possible if you really want it and can see yourself doing it 20 years from now.
