Political correctness is thought control. A few years back a college changed its mascot to the Fighting Whites, it was supposed to show us neanderthals who do not believe in political correctness how it feels to have the white race used as a mascot. Funny thing, I was totally unscathed, slept like a baby that night. I am also undamaged by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, I have an Irish Background.
My wife is Asian, she suggested changing the name to the Yellow Devils, she said she would not be harmed. But then again we are not humorless mind controlled zombies who believe their own B.S.

Indian protests and lawsuits over team names have been going on for years. If Indians in North Dakota are offended by a team name, what's it to you? Are you from North Dakota?

Sorry guy, this is about Indians, not liberals. Let's see, when were Indian's victimized...1600, 1700, 1800, 1900...when was this team named? 1920? It's not about today's culture.
This is just Rebublican reviving of an old, old issue to keep up the division, distract from real issues such as corruption in Congress and the war in Iraq, the Taliban reassertion of control over Afghanistan. Dumb new stuff like that.

I think its interesting that PC came into effect at the same time ordinary politeness left for parts unknown. And that the people who complain the worst about it are those who wish for us to tell them its fine for them to be as rude as they wish.
Its not OK to call people names because of their religion, skin color, age, sex, appearance, political party, or national origin.
Whats so hard to understand about that?
Naming a mascot is using a diminutive "cute" persona, thereby diminishing the perceived power of that group.
If you think I'm exaggerating they try this mascot on for size:
the Weenie White Guys personified by a white mouse with glasses.

Thank liberals and the liberal media. It is all about the "victim mentality" created in today's culture. That allong with the fact that no one takes or is held responsible for their own actions and destiny leads to ridiculous things like out of control PC and white guilt hype.
