Stories (books, TV, Movies, Music Video's) offer ways for the human to dream.
All stories have begging, middle, climax, and ending. The climax is what captures our attention. So, a good story writer will use whatever means available to intensify the climax including adding music for drama. If Hollywood could add smells to invoke emotions, I bet they would!!! In Japan, the video game industry is offering a body sensor to intensify the video games ( instead of joystick, u'll use arm & get sensations too ).
Sad really through. These stories have been pushing our tempations levels. Take the movie, "Scareface" staring Al Pacino. The director's & writers were hoping to create a story about the "American Dream" gone WRONG.* Instead of showing how drugs, women, corruption leads to a persons ultimate lonlyness (as writer wanted), it's become an acult worshiping corruption & stuff.
I love the blessed Mother Theresa's saying, "Everyone's ready to take credit for the big stuff ... but few are willing to do the small (insignificant) steps to acheive the big goals. She was a woman who didn't live in fantacy like I do.

I think if someone followed you around with a video tape for 2 years. Then edited almost everything out and added music that fit the mood and plot, have it down to an hour and 45 minute movie, you'd think your life wasn't so meaningless. Even reality TV. They tape those people for one week to get a half hour of "good" stuff, plus they help dramatize the situation by affecting location and the company you're with.
We are the star in our shows, all others are co-stars picked by your own choice. You can do whatever you want and make things happen. There is constantly several "plots" happening to you. If you focused on just one, and added sub-plots as mere comical relief, everyone's got a story.
Movies are just the artistic way of telling it.
I do want to say that I absolutely detest reality TV show, as it represents the worst in humanity. Why do we subject ourselves to being further tested when life itself presents difficult enough things for us to deal with?
just a thought.

I find the fact that there is no unifying meaning to our existence to be relieving. I just live without having to live up to a concrete standard. But I guess you perceive the whole situation differently. TV, movies, music etc. are sensationalized for our entertainment. Even reality shows operate under contrived, unrealistic rules. If the media was truly committed to broadcasting real life, we'd just be bored or saddened by constant a reminders of how purposeless our existence is.

Life is not meaningless,it is not insignificant, neither are you.The
days can often be long and dull, time changes that. You may wake up one day and save a life,You may have a child who the world needs, you may become a musician since music affects you so much. You may have to face something that alters your very being. You are speaking of boredom.Time will change you
for the better and happiness, I hope,Time will bring change.I know.
