Yes, It is very real for me...
I get to know people so much faster on line and they tend to be more affectionate and appreciative also... I have connected with much more people who have similiar interests as me ... :)
My sister is a very shy person and a whole world opened up for her when she started exploring the net. She has many friends now and tries a lot of new things that she would of never done in her "real life".
My life on the net IS Real...it is just a little different than life off the net.
Take care :)
I do have friends outside the internet as well...:)
...I think this may be different for those still at high school or college:)

No, not really.... one or two on the net..... in real life... probably 5-6 close friends that I would trust my life with, followed by lots of friendly acquaintances.

No, this is just a bit of fun for me and I don't give out my email or have a 360 page so the only friends I have are in real life.

I have friends in real life not on the net. Think about it, how can you be friends with someone you don't know? You must be able to know someone to trust and be friends with him/her. friendship is all about having the intangibles in a relationship.

no
people you have only met online can never be real friends because of the obvious issue of trust. true friendship is based on mutual trust, and people can say anything online because they are 'safe' hiding behind their screens and surrounding themselves with words so how are you to ever be sure when someone is telling the truth?
make casual acquaintances online by all means, but dont assume them to be friends, and never give out personal details of any kind to another person online.
