its important to have a good home setting while growing up.

thats a theme and i dont know how to word it!! im trying to say that its important to live in a nice home in a nice place, but i dont want to use those words. is there such thing as a home setting?

i am writing my story about a time when people were true neighbors to each other , their houses were all neat & the kids ran in & out of each other home's , swipping cookies or whatever or mom's would let us have , we were all just like one big happy family
