Do things at home that force him to concentrate for certain periods of time. I had this problem with my son. I gave him little projects to do like a coloring page, collage, etc and would set an egg timer. "you have to color this page, glue this collage for 5 min then we will do something else". Get him in the habit and then increase the time. It will spill over into school. Work closely with the teacher. My son's teacher would tell my son he has to read 5 pages in his book or do 5 questions and answers before he would be able to talk again or do something else. It gives him concrete times that he can understand at his age. Kids that age are not abstract thinkers like adults are. They are very concrete so you have to work out the rules using the way they think. Hope this helps.

My stepson became a bedwetter when we were given custody of him on the age of ten. My son who's seven also nonetheless wets the mattress. i'd could recommend bringing her to the final practitioner. there's a hereditary link by some skill with bedwetting I easily have study. The pediatrician could make confident there is not any longer any medical reason for why she is bedwetting. If no longer then the rfile would prescribe a drugs called DDAVP or Desmopressin. If no longer then you fairly could ask about it. it extremely works tremendous. It worked for both my sons. My stepson thoroughly stopped bedwetting some days after his first pill. He stayed on DDAVP for some months then rfile took him off and he became not in any respect moist again. For my son the first 4 months on it he became dry each morning. Then i guess it stopped operating, it truly is unusual yet my son isn't everyday. He has some delays and a Urologist we took him too stated he's not on time in that section and only no longer waiting yet. yet usually the DDAVP works properly.

There are these vitamins (for children) that improve concentration, I just saw them this weekend and thought they might just work for my son who is 5 years of age.
I know you asked for techniques in particular yet I believe this can help your situation as well.

Tell your child that you want him to take notes in class of at least five things the teacher in each subject talked about that day. He will have to pay attention to make notes. If he fails the first two or three times, tell him that you will have to punish him in some way(no tv or phone calls, etc.) if he continues to disobey your request. It worked with my hard headed son.

Why? It's not him so much as it is the boring teacher.
Teach him to read books for pleasure, and don't worry about school.
