Depends how close. If you mean a relationship (love) with someone then NO WAY. To go out for a couple of drinks after work yes. Don't get to personal with them though. But other then that I don't see anything wrong with it. Good luck!

It really depends on the situation. I've only become really good friends with one girl that I used to work with. In the beginning, take it slow and learn each other's personalities to find out whether the friendship can last through issues at work. Will there be jealously or anger if someone gets promoted or praised, etc? Another thing to think about is whether you work side by side in similar jobs or if you really don't interact much at all at work. If you don't interact (job description wise) then it shouldn't be a problem. But, again, my advice is in the beginning, tread lightly and see how things go from there!

Yes because when and if something bad happens at work people take that personally. I was good friends with another assistant at my company once and she got in trouble one day for being late all the time and she accussed me of telling.
