Lets pretend it's 1983 and a Democratic house member is caught having a" real actual sexual relationship"with a congressional page,aged 17 yo. The democratic leadership does nothing but support him and his future bids for reelection until his retirement in 1996,his name was? Rep. Gerry Studds,oh doesn't the hypocrisy run thick like molasses through the democratic party. And in contrast when the republicans in congress at the time were able to put through a censure of Studds over the objections of the Dem leadership,he was unapologetic and actually turned his back to the congress while the censure statement was read,like a petulant child. Compare that to Foley and I think the point is made.
