i had a spot checked out once because it looked a little funny.. and this is what the doctor told me..... if it changes shape quickly, grows quickly, changes color, has an very irregular shape or is bigger than your pinky nail you should get it checked out.. other than that just keep an eye on things... now that being said, if you are worried about it, just go get it checked out... what harm is there in that?

Knowing what a cancer cell looks like will be of no earthly use to you. Knowing what a suspicious mole looks like will be far more helpful. Moles that have changed in size, shape, color, become uneven in texture or that bleed spontaneously are suspicious. Your HRT is irrelevant. If you have concerns, you should address them to you health care provider.

FYI: What the person above me has said needs clarification. Color, shape, if the mole is raised. These are not grounds for suspsicion unless these are changes.

is it shaped funny? Is it funny colors? is it raised off your skin?

Go see a dermatologist. it COULD be skin cancer, but only a doctor can diagnose that for you.
