I have an infestation of lady bugs in my house. I don't know how to get rid of them. I taped up my windows so they couldn't get in and they still do. Is there anyting I can put out to make them not want to come in?

Believe it or not, but most people PAY to have Lady Bugs. I recently went to a garden shop and they had Lady Bugs in a large glass tank (they feed them, take care of them, etc.) and you buy them by the pound - they had prices posted. Lady Bugs help your garden to keep away pests (other insects) by eating them. You may be able to call some local garden centers to see if they would have any suggestions for you on how to get rid of them or if they would possibly buy them from you.
By the way - Lady Bugs are considered good luck, so you and your family are very blessed.

Hey Meggie,
On a nice day go get three tubes of caulk and a caulk gun and go around your house and caulk every little hole or crack that you see--especially on the west and south side.
The like to find these little cracks and get in between the inner wall of your house and the outer wall. If you keep them from penetrating the outer wall you're all set.
Caulking is a hard job but it's the best way to keep them out year after year. The application of insecticide will work but you have to do that every year and who really wants to live in a house coated in pesticides.
If you choose insecticide spray the sides of your house with malathion or sevin. That will kill them before they move in. Test spray a little pach of your siding to make sure they do not discolor it. They aren't suppposed to but better to be sure.
Once they are inside OSU research found the best control is a vacuum.

they are probably asian woman beetles and are very confusing to do away with as quickly as they get in. the exterior of your residing house could be sprayed with a competent residual insecticide to circumvent to any extent farther from entering. malicious program bombs or ladybug traps would furnish alleviation interior. in basic terms kill them as a final hotel. they are super for the ecosystem.

Suck them up with a dust buster vacuum. Then toss them outside. In your garden if you have one.
