Your best bet is to seek professional advice as you may be experiencing dehydrated skin. This can be as a result of air conditioning, central heating, medication, stress and diet to name a few triggers. If you have dry skin on your face then you should have this problem all over your body, as dry skin is genetic. However using products containing olive oil, evening primrose and safflower oil to name a few should help to rebuild your skin's protective barrier along side regular exfoliation to remove the build up of dead skin cells that may dull your complexion.

Hi!

I thought I had dry skin, then a beauty therapist told me that all I needed to do was exfoliate every day.

So now I use St Ives Apricot Scrub every day. I put it on when I'm in the shower, then I follow it with Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference cream.

Asda sell the Scrub £1 cheaper than Tesco, and you can get the Visible Diff from Costco, way cheaper than the department store counters.

However, I think any moisturiser would work.

I noticed a difference in my skin within three days.

Hope this helps!

I have the driest skin in the world FOR REAL! You need Cetaphil lotion apply after shower, before make-up and before bedtime.
Second option Mary kay has this stuff that is called night cream, but its not really cream its more like grease, it is what i have to use in the wintertime to keep ezcema spots off my face.
Good luck and remember dry skin is better than oily, at least we don't get zits all the time! HA HA!

Clinique Moisture surge is fantastic - either the gel or the spray, can be used over or under makeup.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is great too, but has a consistency like Vaseline so can be a bit shiny, great for lips, to shape eyebrows, as a cuticle cream.

You should get both of these.

Possibly go get some free advice in your nearest department store, get them to give you free samples of whatever they recommend - so you can make sure it's right for you before you invest in it.

I recently started using Nivea Q10 day and night creams, and I have to say its excellent on my dry skin! It looks so much more plumped up since I've been using it!

my face is just sort of dry, so for make-up I use a tinted moisturizer by cover girl and my sister's face is really dry so she actually uses Vaseline

Simple Moisturiser

I used it when i had really dry skin. It's really light and isn't oily. You can apply makeup over it and it doesn't clog up.
