Because they are all egotistical idiots who have nothing better to do than show off in flash cars.

It's generally the small engined bottom if the range BMW driver that's the worst..They don't indicate, they hog the middle lane of the motorway and think that their 318 repmobile is the quickest thing on the road. People buy these small BMW for the badge only as there are far better cars available for the money. The M5 driver however is totally different, he buys an M5 for the driving pleasure and would probably prefer to have his car debadged so as not to be tarred with the same brush

What a load of crap. I had to listen to this from my father in law. BMW drivers blah blah blah. I was in the car with him one day, driving in London where the standards are really high...LOL. Anyway first we were cut up by a Vauxhall Vectra, then a little Peugeot 106 changed lane infront without indicating, then a Mondeo tail gated us for about 3 miles etc etc etc. After about 30 minutes a BMW in front of us moved over without indicating and i heard him utter, 'See, what did i tell you, bloody BMW drivers'. Eh!! I'd noticed countless instances of poor driving and inconsideration but the only one he comented on was the BMW. Over the 12 years I have been driving I have made a point of watching to see what cars bad drivers tend to be driving and you know what, shock horror, the make of car has very little to do with it. In my experience the worst drivers tend to be those that drive as part of their job, so white van drivers, company reps, taxis etc are all pretty bad. They drive too fast ,far too close behind, fail to indicate and are prone to undertaking if you impede their progress for more than a second or two. So please save me the crap about BMW drivers not indicating. Maybe you have the problem which is why you only notice them and no one else.
Oh and yes I do drive a BMW, but I've also owned a Nissan Primera, a Ford Fiesta, a Ford Sierra, a Honda Civic and an Austin metro. So unless your telling me that my driving style has changed since going from a Metro to a BM then stop being so bloody predjudiced.

I drive a BMW, ok its a little 1600 but it gets me from a 2 b comfortably and ok it costs to get serviced, hope I don't have any major problems, costly to repair!
What pi$$es me off is, people who stay in the middle lane, even though there is nothing to the left of these people. And any non indicating pr!(k, even other BMW drivers and I agree the bigger the car the more arrogant driver.
Basically, if you want to stick to the speed limit, only go into the middle lane when your overtaking, and indicate your changing lanes. I'm sure other make of car drivers agree. I drove from work today on the motorway and had to overtake a van by crossing 2 lanes because he obviously owned the middle lane. There was nothing in front of me in the left lane so why wasn't he there instead of sitting in the middle lane.
No matter what car you drive, keep to the left(UK) unless your overtaking, indicate, (it keeps everyone happy) and buy a headset for your mobile!
You do that for me! and i'll stop smokin' joints while I drive.Hehe
I'm also typing this wile I drive and Oh! oh my god I think ..........My waters have broke!

Because, in their minds, owning a BMW is like becoming Royalty: it gives them rights on the road that other users don't have.
Last week I saw a BMW driver give way to another car at a junction. It was so unusual I told my friends at work about it.

Is it just BMW drivers?i find it to be a State by State thing. Home in RI, no one uses blinkers/indicators. We use ESP to tell what the car infront of us is going to do. In MD, they use them but go in the other direction or just don't change lanes. Ofcourse, it may just be that BMW's do not come with blinkers, maybe they cost extra (cause shelling out $35,000 for a car means you have right of way).

It's not just beamer drivers , VW Golf and 4x4 idiots too. Souped-up' motors. We all tend to blame boy racers with 'bus exhausts' and their 'mobile discos'. The real culprits are the 50 somethings who think they have made it in life and have a f**k you attitude on the road. They come up to your bumper then pass you with barely inches to spare. Clearly very dangerous to other road users. They also have this psychological problem about having the best motor and always push their way through , A-Holes

Because they are invariably ignorant, arrogant tossers who think they own the road and lesser machines shouldn't be there, Mercedes drivers are equally guilty of this! Nothing irritates either more than a "lesser" badged car giving them a hard time!

same reason BMW drivers dont follow the rules of the highway, they believe that they, and they alone own the road.
