This is normal! Your stomach will get harder and harder as the pregnancy gets further. I started showing in my 4th month, and I was a skinny minny! When you're at least 7 months pregnant, it should be firm all over, but more hard where the baby pokes out. I'm sure you're beautiful anyway so don't worry! Good luck to you, and Congrats!

Yeah I would say it is totally normal. Alot has to depend on the way the baby is positioned and your body type and how it develop. I am 29 weeks and the left side of me is pretty squishy were as the right is rock hard. When I lay down the whole belly still has a bit of soft spots. I wouldnt worry the bigger you get the harder your tummy will be. Congrats and Good Luck!

the hard parts that you are feeling could be part of the baby-the knees or skull-and the soft parts could be the babies belly or some other soft part. Taking into consideration that someone is of a healthy weight(and not obese) it's important to consider that everyones uterus is placed differently(some closer to the belly than others). That's probably why some women show quicker than others. My stomach didn't get hard until the 8th or 9th month, and even then, it wasn't that hard. I'm guessing my uterus wasn't so close to my stomach! Hope this helps!!!

Well, every pregnancy is different so it is hard to say exactly what you will experience. My belly has been tighter on top for most of my pregnancy, with a soft area on the bottom (I am carrying the baby high, and below that is a little extra belly fat.) As the baby gets bigger you will find you can feel harder areas that are the baby and softer areas that are just fluid.

Hey okay i'm am a mother of 6 so i can probably help you out! When you feel some areas that are hard thats where the baby is around the baby will feel soft from the outside because that is the fluid that surrounds him.Your stomach will never be all hard until you have contractions for labor, other then that it is perfectly normal to have some spots softer or firmer then the other. If you need help or have questions feel free to e-mail me.I hope what i said makes sense to you ,its hard to really explain.

You are completely normal, overactive hormones and all. I am 15 weeks along (third pregnancy) and have been showing for a couple of weeks already. At first I thought it was just bloating, but it's definately not going away.

As you start to get further along your belly will harden up, then it will become lumpy again because your baby is leaning to one side or the other or doing somersaults in there. Congratulations, Mom!

Your stomach should be getting harder about an inch below your belly button. I am 22 weeks and 4 days and mine is just at my navel. Don't worry you are very normal, and you will be showing all over before you know it. Enjoy your pregnancy and have a great day!

yes your tummy will get firmer all over i would say you are normal and for the soft spots i would say thats where the tisue is expanding to compensate for the baby the hard parts are where the baby is most likely. i had a soft tummy until i was about 5 months will my last three and about 7 with my first if worried ask your doc.

#1 congrats on your pregnancy. I am 9 weeks with my 5th pregnancy but with God, this will be my 3rd child.
Yes this is completely normal as your baby is starting to fill out the room in your uterus. Your stomach will get harder as the pregnancy progresses, good luck and if you havent felt the baby move you only have a few weeks if that to happen and its marvelous. If you ever need to talk please feel free to contact me. God Bless and congrats again!!!
