Put troops at the borders and instruct them to shoot to kill, no seriously though, I think if the illegals are willing to walk through the desert to get here, there shouldn't be any attempts made on our behalf to rescue them, they knew what they were doing and they took the risk of doing it, lastly, Bush should be held accountable for everything that has the word war in it. Anyone agree?!

And wouldn't that definitely cut down on illegals if they crossed over the border, only to be met looking down the barrels of a gun!

Let's take this one apart, shall we?

BRING U.S. TROOPS HOME -- AGREE. No one wants U.S. troops on their soil anyway, with the possible exception of the U.K., so let's take our troops AND our dollars and get them the heck out! If we need to get troops somewhere quickly we have the capability to do it from the continental U.S., so let's get the Armed Forces back on U.S. soil.

CLOSE THE U.S. BORDERS -- AGREE. I'm not talking about international travel, I'm talking about putting up a 12-foot-tall electrified fence with razor wire on the top on the Mexican border and augmenting it with armed troops that are authorized to shoot to kill. Let the Armed Forces guard the border while DHS gathers up the illegals that are living here for deportation.

TAX THE RICH -- DISAGREE: The rich are already being taxed at a confiscatory rate: The top one percent of earners in this country pay out -- are you ready for this? -- THIRTY-FIVE PERCENT of the revenue annually collected by the Internal Revenue Service. Pulling the troops back to U.S. soil, closing the border, and deporting the illegals that live here will result in multiple billions of taxpayer dollars every year.

LEAVE THE POOR AND UNFORTUNATE ALONE: DISAGREE. These people are poor and unforunate for a reason, so we need to help those who deserve it and stop helping those who don't. If they're poor and can't work because they're elderly or disabled, let's take care of them. If they're poor because they can't find a job, let's continue to give them money to live and train them in marketable skills so that they CAN get jobs and support themselves, so once they have found jobs and are supporting themselves they won't need welfare anymore. However, for those who are poor because they have chosen to sit on their lazy @$$es except to waddle down to the welfare office once a month to say "Gimme my check," kick them to the curb. If you don't even try, you don't eat. Period.

P.S.: If the current President is to be held accountable for everything that has the word "war" in it, the former President must also be held accountable for the waste of billions of taxpayer dollars caused by his incompetent use of the military during his term in office, and he should also be held fully accountable for the men who died in Mogadishu, Somalia (see "Black Hawk Down" if you don't know what I'm talking about) thanks to his incompetence. Finally, he should also be held accountable for all those who died in the U.S.S. Hood and in the World Trade Center for his absolute idiocy displayed when he blew off the Sudanese government after they offered Osama bin Laden to him on a silver platter in 1999.

First of all, yes, let's bring the troops home. The Middle East countries have been fighting themselves, their neighbors and anyone else who borders that area for the last 5000 years. Does President Bush or any other politician really think anything will change? As soon as we pull our troops out, they'll go right back to what they have been doing since forever, killing themselves and everyone else who looks at them cross-eyed.

Secondly, taxing the rich more than the poor will not work. But, if everyone who earns a dollar pays the same amount of tax on that dollar............a set percentage on every dollar, rich or poor.
No exceptions, no deductions for this or that, no kickbacks, no end year bonus for the CEO, no tax breaks for politicians. If you make $45000 a year or $5,000,000 a year, you'd pay the same percentage for every dollar to the government for your taxes.
If you receive welfare payments, you should have to work a minimum of set hours per week. Every city, town, township or borough has streets that need swept, parks that need mowed, streams that need cleaned up, public buildings that need painted, etc. There is no reason, if you are physically able, that you can't earn your checks.

The wealthiest 50% of americans pay over 90% of the taxes. You can't give the poor tax cuts when they aren't paying taxes to begin with. When you cut taxes to the "wealthy" and business, both the US economy (more jobs for everyone) and the US government both prosper. More taxes = stagnant economy and recession. Reaganomics works and has been proven over and over. Even JFK had the right economic ideas.

Yes we should put troops on the border. Period.

And finally, feel free to hold Bush responsible for what is goin on. But if you do you have to give him credit for toppling a dictator, freeing millions of people, seriously hurting terrorist capabilities, and implementing policies that have prevented any more terrorist attacks on US soil.

Yes. Put the troops on the border and instruct them to shoot to kill. That should stop the hoards from crossing our border. We definitely should NOT be spending any money or time rescuing them from their own stupidity.

Tax the rich? You had better watch what you say. Do you know what the Democrats consider to be "rich?" I'll bet it's you. They'll tell you they're only going after six-figure incomes, but when it comes to reality, they nail families making $30,000. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY REALLY DO - not what they say.
