yes you have to play online and it is 14.99 a month unless you get multiple months at a time, in which case it is cheaper. also, when you first purchase the game you get 30 days of play and a 10 day free pass (that you could give friends or use yourself).

Yes - you have to pay a monthly subscription; but there is a "free pass" (used to be a month) after you first install the game so that you can try it out. You can also purchase pre-paid cards on amazon.com.

It cost somewhere between 12.95 and 14.00 a month and yeah you have to be online also you have to have a credit card. But it is worth it the game ROCKS!! When you buy the game you get one month free!
