Exactly how many teams make a bowl game in the current system?

I know all you have to win is 6 games. I have heart around 40, is that true?

Not jsut talking BCS, i mean out of all of them, including this year's additional championship game. How many teams total make it?

and dont you find it amazing that up to 64 teams make it, when we only rank 25 teams all year? Do you think it really is all about $$$

There are a total of 32 bowl games for 64 teams.

Of course it is about money, the NCAA is mandated by law to return 95% of their funds back to their member schools for the schools to use in their general scholarship funds. As a Biochemistry professor, I mentored several senior undergraduate students using money from the NCAA.

As the revenue grows, there will be more and more money to spread around.

BY the way, there are only 60 teams going to Bowl Games this year, there are only 31 games....the 31st game features 2 teams that will have already played a Bowl Game

The schedule mentions the words 'tentative', the NCAA reserves the right to cancel a Bowl Game if not enough teams win 6 games against Division 1A opponents

exact 64. the bowl games are out of the way too like they judge them on how big the confrence is like sun-belt gets only one for the champion and big twelve gets 12 and u have to at least finish at .500 pretty much like 6 or 7 games and 5 big twelve teams dont even win close to 6 so any team can get it called an at large sounds to difficult even for me they need to shave some of them games off they are even teams u never heard of like arkansas state or middle tennesee state they need to do it like their baketball championship with just 64 teams
