No offense but there is no way a person without construction and architectural knowledge can build a house themselves.

I have worked in construction for 10 years and there are so many codes, inspections, by laws, zoning restrictions, safety issues, and such that to teach one everything they would need to know about hand framing their own house it would take about a year. IF not longer. I would just stick with hiring a subcontractor to do the framing and actual construction and you should be responsible for pulling permits, setting up inspections, getting plans made and copied for all the areas electrical/plumbing. Engineering, architecturals, and structurals and setting up equipment and lumber packages. Leave something as serious as your home to the professionals and you pick up the run around time.

Good LUck

the thing about a townhouse is that it is attached to something. You can't build just 1 townhouse, you need at least two.

THERE IS NO ANSWER. ACROSS THE BORDER IN MEXICO THEY BUILD THEM OUT OF CARD BOARD & PALLETS FOR NOTHING, OR IT CAN BE FINISHED OUT FOR DONALD TRUMP @ $500.00 - 600.00 PER SQ.FT.! YOU CAN GET A GOOD GUESS, BUT YNTILL YOU GET HARD BIDS ON EVERYTHING GOING IN IT YOU'LL NOT KNOW UNTIL THE END. YOU CAN DO IT YOUR SELF, BUT YOU GOT TO BE REAL SMART & TOUGH. DON'T PAY TILL EACH PHASE IS 100% COMPLETE.
