No. Religion just divides us.

I wouldn't be offended. Most people who insult rarely have done any research on the topic at hand, and usually come off sounding like a fool (to say the least). This applies to anything--not just religion. I am a person--not a religion. If you don't like who/what I worship, why should I be offended?

Now my family--that's a different story. If you insulted them I'd be terribly offended. Downright irate, actually. :)

Acting offended and haughty at you wouldn't be a very good testimonial to my faith and philosophy, which requires forgiveness and tolerance of me, now would it? It would only give you more reason to have even less respect for what I say I believe than you do now, so I'd be alienating you even further. What would be the point of it and why should I be offended? You entitled to your opinion, even if I should happen to believe that you're wrong. As long as you don't infringe on my legal rights or threaten me and my family with violence or war, what you say and think is between you and your god or whatever it is that you put your trust.

To quote a favorite book, "The Four Agreements", by Don Miguel Ruiz:
Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

I would not be offended but I would try to educate you on the facts of my religion. that way maybe you would not insult the religion anymore and instead respect the fact that is a religion. Religions deserve some type of respect wether you agree with them or not. Unless of course the actions in the religion endanger people.

Not at all, I would hope though that you insulted it with facts, I think it is real healthy to question any religion, I am catholic and I question the hell out of it, but to insult it without some facts behind it really makes one look a little ignorant.

No. There are two reasons:

1. I've learnt along the way to respect different beliefs and religions.

2. You'll meet an idiot everywhere you go.

Stay safe. - Maryam

Your spelling say me something about your lack of self respect, it seems that you don´t check your spelling. Anyway, all humankind have the right to believe or not a particular religion.
To me, there is not any opinion as important over the theme of your own beliefs as yours.
