My fridge is forming a pretty good size chunk of ice on the inside, on the top panel. This ice is slowly dripping on top of my food and everything inside the fridge. My fridge is not pushed all the way up against the wall either. Why is this happening? My fridge is also set in the middle of the adjusting scale for coldness.

I checked my freezer and there is no ice built up anywhere.

this exact thing happened to my fridge
I had a repair main come out
here is what you have to do
unplug fridge and empty your freezer
once you do this you should see big chunks of ice in your freezer
this is what is causing your fridge to freeze blocks as well
you have to de-ice the freezer and get it cleaned out
After that plug back in and you should start to see a difference
the repair man explained that the chunks of ice in the freezer are covering important parts to not work properly
hope this helps
hopefully you have another fridge to put your stuff in

FROST FREE REFERS. GO THROUGH A DEFROST CYCLE & THE WATER DRAINS THROUGH CAVITIES TO A HOT PLATE UNDER YOUR FRIG. THAT EVAPORATES THE WATER..... IF THE DRAIN LINE HAS FROZEN & NOT CLEARED BEFORE THE RESTART CYCLE IT WILL STOP FUTURE DRAINING & START THE BUILD UP CYCLE. YOU MAY HAVE TO UN PLUG FOR AS MUCH AS 48 TO 72 HOURS.
YES UN PLUG IS THE EASY & CHEAP FIRST TRY FIX!
