in the home... But if they were really unhappy about this, why do they continue to do it??

Who else would do it? My partner and kids wouldnt know dirt if it hit them in the face. And i'm sure they think the faries do their washing...........

The change in women's role in all walks of life has been very quick, I think things will improve, but the issue you have is that Menes role has not really changed, primarily because as humans change isn't a problem, BEING changed is, if women asked there husbands/partners what they could do for them they maybe pleasantly surprised, now ladies get of you soap boxes, there washing up to do.... Lil lol lo only kidding....

Because they should ... being the protector ... and cleaner up just doesn't appeal to most men ... I would prefer to get up at night when things go bump... and meet her at the station if its late.. carry all the heavy bags when she overshops ..... heavy menial work ...
There are roles in relationships ... I'm not happy about carrying all the bags ... and having to put the remote down to go pick her up .. or having to go and pick up something she ordered but can't carry ... but i do itbecause im better at it ...
...and thats why she does most of the house work.... she is better at it

Because then nothing gets done at home. Or maybe why do they work? because depending on their backgrounds, stay at home mom may not fullfill their aspirations.
