Should Pete Rose be given a second chance and be put on the Hall of Fame ballot?

Rose is a smug individual, but even after saying that he belongs in the Hall of Fame. That doesn't mean that I think he should be able to manage, scout, or be involved in any way with any team in Major League Baseball.

NO!

He is banned from baseball for LIFE!
and for a darn good reason, too!

He should not be allowed anywhere near The Hall Of Fame
not even as a paying customer!

pete rose is a lair a cheat and a thief and DOES NOT deserve my respect, or yours.

Period. End Of Story.

Only after Joe Jackson is.

If you go to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. you will see Pete Rose's accomplishments represented there. It's not as if baseball's hit king has been wiped clean from the record books. Charlie Hustle is seen all over the hall... but HE HIMSELF, does not deserve entry until after Joe Jackson is in.

Pete bet on the game... and there is NO greater sin in the game.

He KNEW that, yet he broke the rule and lied about it for 20 years.

Too bad the fans themselves cannot vote for election to the hall of fame. Maybe the next commissioner will ask the fans, and then finally put this issue to rest.

Never! He bet on baseball! I think that all of his stats should be removed from Major League Baseball. He should be banned forever. His number should be banned forever! His name should be banned. If anyone else's name is Pete or Rose, they should always be called with a seperate nickname.

With all the steroid issues, I don't see how betting on baseball compares anymore. He should be allowed back in baseball, at least for his on the field accomplishments.

He'd make a great commentator, too, imo.
