Which do you want, the realistic answer or the Conservative answer.
Conservative answer: Trees to hug, all the animals to protect, businesses to boycott, public welfare, and the right to hate America.
Realistic answer: The same things that the Conservatives and the intelligent love about this country; it's nature, it's freedom, it's diversity, all that stuff.
If you cannot appreciate a bipartisan country, then leave. Checks and Balances aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

First, can we deal in specifics?
I hear "Liberals are against america". Is there a name that goes with this comment? "Al Frankin says all US soldiers are baby killers."
I could easily say "All conservatives want America to be a fascist state." , but there is no name to go witht he statement.
As a liberal, what I want is this country to do her best always. I cringe when I see her going down a wrong path and i try to persuade her to come back to the correct ways, those ways and methods that we hold to be self-evident.
We do not become a strong nation by doing the same caliber of wrongs that our enemies do. We work with our differences, not against them.
America offers a cailber of choice and options not readily seen in other nations and we work together to protect those choices and options.
Remember, tit akes two wings to fliy and they must oppose one another

The thing they love most about America is the fact that it's the only country in world where the can b*t*h about everything that makes this country great and get by with it. I wish they would go to Iran and complain about something that government does and see what happens. Instead, people like Cindy Sheehan complain about America and then go and hug Chavez and say he is a wonderful man. Only in America!!!

I love the fact that I have been fortunate enough to grow up in the greatest nation on earth, raised by two loving and nurturing parents with my sisters and brother, in a small town, where we were safe to walk to school, to the movies, the store, to cousins and friends houses to play, and never be afraid that evil would be lurking.

What I love is that we're a free Country that shouldn't have to intimidate other people into our way of life. I love that Government is meant to serve the people, not the other way around. However, with Republicans in Control we've seen nothing but our Country going backwards and going away from the basic principles our founders created. We've invaded another Country and told them that they must become Democratic or we won't leave. (How is that in itself Democratic?) We became the aggressors, we have taken away the rights of Americans and we have caused far more damage than good. This Country needs a change for us to be great again.

This question is just as dumb as the article attacted to it. Liberals love America and are not always 'extremists'. Grow up and learn to become more tolerant of other's views and opinions. Here's the biggest one I love , freedom of speech!

I'm not understanding something about today's "conservatives". "conservatives" are suppose to be about small government, fiscal responsibility and exacting interpretation of the Constitution. can Bush and his neoCONs be any further from that description?
today's "liberal" looks a lot like yesterdays "conservative" while today's "conservative" look a lot like radical plutocratic fascists.
the only thing new conservatives want to conserve is the entrenched power of the mega wealthy elite.

This article is extremely biased. Putting a forest behind glass means that it will be around for future generations instead of becoming just another strip mall.
I love that in this country you can believe what you want and say what you want without someone coming into your home and forcing you to stop. I love that you can post this question freely and I can post this answer freely.

I love the potential this country has, and I love the ideals which it was founded upon. I weep to see how far short of these ideals we have fallen. I weep to see us making enemies and sowing bad karma we will one day reap. I weep precisely because I love my country.

Next time you hear a Liberal insisting that he or she loves America and supports the troops, "BUT. . . " gently
interrupt and ask, "WHY?" If you get an answer at all, it should be enlightening.
