My husband loves kids and loves when I'm pregnant, we've 2 girls (a 2 years old and a 6 mos old) and he already wants another (a boy) ! He keeps begging me, but I think it's too soon, he says we're still young, so it's better now than later. How long should we wait?

First you know as well aas I do, there's no guarantie for a boy and therefore you should wait at least another year before you get pregnant again. Tell him abstinence makes boys, if you look at the statistics of what was born in the first year after WWII, it was mostly boys. And you need to conceive at the end of ovulation and don't orgasm, because male sperm is stronger and will reach better, during O you're wide open and female sperm will reach faster. But that's just my experience and opinion, nothing scientific. But with the abstinence that's a fact.

I have same dilimma only reversed. I have 2 boys, 2 yr old and 8 month old , and i want one more...a girl i hope, but hubby doesnt want anymore cuz he got his boys. I am young too...so i agree being young is definately better. But if i do ever have a 3rd, i will have a tubal regardless if boy or girl..cuz 3 is enough.

Wow that would put your baby and the new baby 15 months apart. That sounds a little to close for me. I think if I were you I would wait unitl she was at least 18 months old before trying for another.

No more. You have enough.

Ask him if he is willing to stay home and take care of the kids 24/7 like you.

Children are the biggest strain on a marriage.

Most marriages end in divorce because in part of the kids.

You should at least wait until your 6 month old is toilet trained or even off to preschool. I hope he realizeds there are NO guarantees you will have a boy....I have 4 sons and NO girls so trust me on this one.

It's your body. If you are not ready for more children, you have the right to say so. It's all very well to love children, but does he know what a burden he's putting on you? Not only that, it's a strain on the existing children too, if you are overburdened.

tell him to carry it for 9 months. that should slow down his requests. it is up to you when to have additional children. can you afford more now? think seriously, having kids is not a game nor should it be a hurry up thing. each child needs individual nurturing. take a vacation and decide.

tell him you won't be ready until the 6 month old is out of diapers. And not to bother you about it until then or he'll get shut off.

That should be up to your discretion. You're the one carrying the baby and going through labor, not your husband. If you're not ready, tell him so. The bottom line is this: it's your body, not his.
