The Great Wall of China did not keep the Mongols out! Most likely they will find some other way. However, if it slows down the drug trafficking, it might be worth it.

The wall won't stop either one. The best way to beat the drug issue is to take it out of the hands of criminals by de-criminalizing it (yeah, that's right...Make it legal). If the US really wants to cut down on immigration (not just from Mexico, but ALL immigration), then it should be US policy that anyone desiring to become a citizen of the US would have to serve a minimum term in one of the US's ARMED FORCES (3-4 years would be sufficient) and receive an Honorable discharge. Oh look! I solved the problem of the decline in people wanting to join the Army, too!! Whadd'ya think of that?!

a wall wont work they should be shot on site.....just kidding god ....we need to take our country back ........but this is not the way......maybe if it were electric....no really the only way to discourage illegal immigration is to exclude anyone who is not here legally from getting any gov. benefits ....medicaid,food stamps,housing etc. that's why they come here anyway, besides have you been to the welfare office lately looks like a new car lot ........and everyones wearing Nike and all the babies have bling...real bling not that stuff out of the quarter machines.....its pitiful.

I totally agree,Im not against mexicans at all but I've seen many illegal people doing bad things..
They can move to The US but if they do it , they must do it in a legal way.
